GIANNIS KOULOUNTIS

Giannis was born in 1985 in Pafos.  He has graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering of the Polytechnic School of the University of Patras (Greece) and he is a member of the Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber (ETEK). During his studies, he was focus on the reinforcement of buildings, as well as on the analysis and restoration of load-bearing masonry structures. He has carried out dozens of seismic analysis structural design and site supervision for reinforced concrete buildings, load-bearing masonry buildings and steel structures. Some of his projects include steel structure additions in hotels, tourist villages with reinforced concrete frame, extensions and reinforcements of load-bearing masonry and reinforced concrete residences, seismic analysis, structural design and site supervision of new residences, industrial buildings, hotels etc. He is also very active in the local community. He has served as the President of the Pafos Junior Chamber International, as the Secretary of the Association of Cyprus Civil Engineers (Pafos District Department) and he is an elected Municipal Councilor in the Municipality of Pafos. His main object is to be always informed and continue learning by attending seminars and lectures on Construction, Health and Safety, Regulations, etc.
